Wood and sustainability
The advantages of choosing wood in furniture and construction
The climate is also protected by using wood
Wood is ideal for furnishing and for all construction elements: its easy processing, its versatility, combined with the aesthetic properties and chemical-physical resistance that it acquires through painting make it perfect for any architectural and of design. Above all, wood is undoubtedly the ecological material par excellence.
It must of course come from certified forests, for which high quality standards and respect for the ethical principles of deforestation are guaranteed. Living in an environment where wood is the protagonist, from floors to coverings, windows, doors and furniture, means making the best choice to respect the planet.

The use of wood makes a fundamental contribution to climate protection. In fact, wood fixes carbon dioxide: trees store this gas in their roots, trunk and branches, one of the main causes of the greenhouse effect, for decades or centuries depending on the tree species.
However, the ability to fix carbon dioxide constantly decreases with the aging of the plant; when it dies, the wood is slowly decomposed by microorganisms; this process causes the re-emission of absorbed carbon dioxide into the atmosphere.
If, on the other hand, wood is used for the manufacture of durable goods, carbon dioxide remains fixed by its biomass for the entire life of the latter. At the end of their life cycle, the residual wood material can serve as a CO2 neutral combustion material.
Furthermore, woodworking requires very low energy consumption, much lower than that required for the production of other building materials such as concrete and steel. Obviously, wood from certified forests must be used for which compliance with the rules protecting forest ecosystems is guaranteed.
Wood is…

Ecological in full respect of the environment
For unique and lasting projects.
Environmental wellbeing
Breathable, sound absorbing, insulating, thermal accumulator and humidity regulator.
Durability guarantee
With long-term planning, no more lumber is harvested than it is regrown. Rationing promotes rejuvenation.
Natural beauty
Wood is beautiful, traditional, innovative and versatile.
Trees and forests
Wooden windows enhance the quality of the environment, having charm and beauty undeniably superior to those in PVC or Aluminum. These are also non-eco-sustainable materials as they do not renew themselves (the former being a derivative of petroleum and the latter a mineral).
They guarantee better insulation and thanks to the evolution of painting techniques they maintain their splendor over time thanks to minimal routine maintenance. The wooden floors and walls allow excellent thermal and acoustic insulation.
The wooden house is safe: it is antisimic and fire resistant. It is now internationally recognized how well-designed wooden buildings and built according to the most modern techniques, can guarantee the most advanced levels of seismic safety.
Numerous and important studies have also dispelled the prejudice that wooden structures are more dangerous than masonry, reinforced concrete or steel structures in case of fire. Thanks to its structure, wood is also able to eliminate up to 95% of electromagnetic waves from cell phones and radio devices.
