Machining on beams

In addition to sawing, we take care of the finishing of wooden beams to make them more beautiful, resistant and ready to be used in roofs, houses and wooden buildings. Aesthetic appearance, functionality and durability are the main reasons for applying the different processes, each with a specific purpose:

  • Shaping
The shaping allows to give the heads of the wooden beams different shapes to obtain the desired visual profile of the roof.
  • Planing
Planing makes the surface of the wood smoother, eliminating surface residues caused by cutting operations. In this way the element is ready to receive subsequent finishing treatments. After a first planing made by the machinery, the operator intervenes manually and completes the work for a better result even in the smallest details.
  • Brushing and roughing
Brushing and roughing have the purpose of guaranteeing the wood a surface ready to be waxed or painted, capable of making the roof particularly “lived in”.
  • Impregnation
With the impregnation, the wood receives the first pigmentation that guarantees durability of its most valuable qualities. It is a treatment that preserves and safeguards the wood from bad weather, protecting it from dirt and wear. We use an automatic impregnation system, with compliant water-based products, capable of guaranteeing a healthier, very accurate and homogeneous treatment in a short time.

All ancillary work on wooden beams is done by our specialized staff.
